Vicki Borrelli has been a lifelong student of the horse. She started Cloverleaf Horse Farm in 1984 in Deerfield NH and trained and showed main ring Arabians and Morgans with a following of Amateur riders that she successfully guided through the show process.
In 2005, she and her husband, George, with two Arabian horses, three dogs and two cats, made the cross country trip to Colorado, where she has been based from ever since. At that time she decided to focus more on dressage, and eventually trying her hand at more sporthorse type venues, like Eventing, where again, she was also able to lead a following of amateur riders to success. She furthered her education and training doing several segments of the Instructors Certification Program for USEA with Brian Sabo and taking regular lessons with now 5* dressage judge, Janet Foy. She also enjoyed many years of jump training with Lynn Klisavage as well as clinics with Jan Byyny; the late, great Nadeem Noon, and Grant Schneidman to name a few.
In 2014, she attended her first Science of Motion clinic with Jean Luc Cornille. Learning how horses move based on a system within a system really opened the door for a new passion within the horse community. Teaching scientifically based reasons when to do classical dressage movements to help strengthen, balance, prevent injuries, and how to fully prepare horses for the athletic demand that we may be asking of them, is now her top priority. Fortunately, Jean Luc is in Colorado about six times a year where she rides with him each day. That, plus currently being a student of his In Hand Therapy Course, as well as attending his Science of Motions' International Lameness Conference held in GA each fall, she is able to keep up with all the new scientific research that pertains to our horses well being. Also, she has attended and hosted clinics with martial arts master, James Shaw, of Riding from Within, where she has learned more about energy and managing forces, body awareness, breath-work for tension relief and how always being present in the moment is a true necessity with horses.
Whether you are a current competitor that wants help preparing the best athlete, or someone that rides for the companionship and partnership, or someone that needs help addressing soundness issues, Riding On Purpose, with Vicki Borrelli can help.
